Scotts Miracle-Gro Executives Retire After Decades of Service

Scotts Miracle-Gro, the renowned company specializing in lawn and garden-care products, has announced the retirement of two of its top executives. President Mike Lukemire and Denise Stump, the executive vice president of global human resources and chief ethics officer, will be stepping down from their positions on October 1st, coinciding with the start of the company’s new fiscal year.

Leadership Changes and New Responsibilities

In light of these retirements, Jim Hagedorn, the current chairman and chief executive of Scotts, will be taking on the additional role of president. This appointment showcases his commitment to guiding the company forward. Additionally, Julie DeMuesy, who is currently the senior vice president of human resources operations, will assume the roles of senior vice president, chief human resources officer, and chief ethics officer.

Strengthening the Leadership Team

To further enhance the company’s leadership team, Matt Garth, who joined Scotts Miracle-Gro as executive vice president and chief financial officer last year, will expand his responsibilities to include the position of chief administrative officer. This move highlights his valuable contributions and expertise within the organization.
