A New Era of Leadership

The former chief executive and executive chairman of BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings, Christopher Baldwin, is set to bring his wealth of experience to Constellation Brands as its non-executive, independent chair. This major appointment marks a significant development for the maker of beer, wine, and spirits.

Impressive Track Record

Baldwin, currently a managing partner at private markets manager CVC Advisors, has an impressive resume. He has previously held key board and management positions at BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings, where he served as chief executive from 2016 to 2020, and chairman from 2018 to 2020.

Transition and Continuity

Joining Constellation Brands as a director and non-executive board chair on March 1, Baldwin will continue to serve as a BJ’s board member until his term expires at the company’s next annual shareholders meeting. His experience and strategic vision are expected to bring valuable insights to the board.

In other news, Susan Somersille Johnson has voluntarily resigned from her board seat at Constellation Brands, which she has held since July 2017. The resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company on operational matters, emphasizing a smooth transition in leadership.
